At Onofrio’s Ultimate Foods, we think of your brand as ours and pay close attention to what makes your recipes and products unique – just like you do every day. That’s partly because we don’t have our own food brand to attend to. But it’s also something our family taught us a long time ago – a philosophy that’s stuck around since Onofrio’s was just a small grocery store in New Haven.
Like your brand, the production process is not something to be taken lightly. In order to be successful in our process we have developed a plan that will list all the necessities step-by-step to ensure that we can smoothly produce, label, and package your product. Our sales team will assist you in container/package choices, label design and printing, bar coding, product storage and shipping arrangements. Your logo and label information will be professionally added on to your products.
PROVIDING SECURITY
We would like you to sign a Confidentiality Agreement prior to starting this process. This allows both parties to address concerns for privacy of procedure as well as protection of client interest from outside sources that may be interested in your product.
PROVIDING A SAMPLE
In order to accurately know the make-up of your product, we need a large sample. Usually a 16 oz. batch in a plastic sealed container with a label identifying the product and client’s name will suffice.
RECIPE
The Onofrio’s Ultimate Foods process starts with the preparation of your recipe. Once your recipe had been prepared to your satisfaction, we proceed to package, label and ready your product for shipment. Supply us with your recipe in ounces. If your recipe is made in ounces, we can convert to meet our specifications. A listing of all liquids, solids and powders are helpful to begin our conversions.
INGREDIENTS
We take great pride in sourcing out ingredients for your product specifications or if you would like to supply your own ingredients you may do so.
PRODUCT PACKAGING
Select a desired container in which your product will be packaged. We offer a wide selection of glass jars and plastic containers that will fit our production standards and customer needs.
LABEL DESIGN
A major consideration will be the label for your product. Most clients already have a label and logo design ready for their products. Onofrio’s Ultimate Foods will review your label choice to insure it follows protocol concerning the applicable requirements established by the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) concerning labels on food products. These are the items that must be listed on a food product label: Ingredients, Nutritional Facts, Net Weight, *UPC Number (*Application for UPC Available), Name & Address of Company, Small Description of Product (We can provide a dissertation), Website, Phone Number and/or Email.
